Prerunner bumpers

Post by 1Hondalover »

Like to swap the chrome on Mom & Dad's Thanksgiving Bronco for some simple prerunner bumpers. No spare tire holders, fancy bash plates or light tabs needed, but not some KD china crap from 4 wheel parts either.

Any ideas.

That solo one was really easy to install. It just bolted right up. The plastic valance is nice because it covers up the frame horns and you don't have to end up cutting them.

Does Solo have their front setups already fabbed or do they make them to order? In general I do like it and would saddle up, but don't like the wrap around the sides that hang out so far. If they would entertain it, I'd rather have the tube taper or terminate in the middle of the bend to some flat stock that only anchors the valence around the side and tighter to the fender.

Most of the nice prerunner bumpers I've seen stop the tube before it gets all the way around with an angled cap or something.

Guess I'll call Bobby or Paul next week and see what they'll charge me to do this.

You can see on that page that was linked. The black bronco has it cut back on the sides.

Talked to Bobby today.....he has a rear prototype on the floor and supposed to send me pics. No spare holder for Mom & Dad's Thanksgiving Bronco.

I'll have them refab the ends of the their front to make the valance hug the fender as it wraps the corner. Ready to go for both as soon as he confirms the rear so I can see if I like it.
