Random updates... what are you working on?

Post by SteveG »

I thought we had a thread like this but I couldn't find it.

Rebuilding an EFI harness for a Mercedes SL500.... I bought the injector connector housings, terminals and the crimper and went to town. All the injector leads are together. If all goes well, I'll have them installed in the harness tonight.

House stuff for me unfortunately. I'm still organizing my garage & trying to make enough room in it to fit a car in there. Been running electrical in the garage, making gates/fences and tons of yardwork. SO ready to get back to cars!

Ran a blade down the driveways and the parking area in-front of the shop, laid down the first course of gravel.
Completing the build in the Shop.
Getting all the outdoor chores done before it snows!

Don't speak of snow yet Chris - we gotta get a bit of summer up there before that! Not that the current rain has helped with the "summer" feeling, but I hope the forecast is right & that is clearing up a bit. Supposed to be 80 for the latter part of this week when we get up there!

Ok - back to the topic at hand.
Here's a bit of my "garage prep" as I try & get it set up as a spot where I can work like I did in my shop.

Just finished running a 110v that also tucks in this corner and exits the garage so I have a solid 20 amp circuit outside at the "RV access"

What is in the pic here is the 220 circuit I ran that will power the TIG welder. It's located so I can plug in here & either weld in the garage or roll the welder out to the RV access & weld there.

The PVC stuff is my air line. I tucked the compressor over in the opposite corner (furthest from house & neighbors for noise reasons) and then ran PVC up and over the garage to get a connection point where I think I'll be using it most. I set up a permanent hose that goes to the sand blaster & then a connector for a hose that can reach across the shop, or around the corner & out to the RV access. I also have a connection point at the compressor itself still which can reach out front as well if for some reason I need that in the future. Thought of this as I helped the neighbor air up a flat tire.

Ok, BUT several years ago I was lucky enough to drive into a snow storm in August not more then a mile from where I sit.

Getting back on track we'll be painting the fascia trim this weekend.

Took the boat out this weekend. Carly's bronco did perfect towing it and it ran like a raped ape. I spent 3 hours stripping polishing and waxing. I was amazed on how well it turned out considering its 41 years old.
