"Overlanding"😆 glorified camping!

Yes mine. I WISH overlanding. I don't call what 99% of the people do overlanding. To me overlanding is off roading and going remote to camp. Not what we can do in this thing. And Nick nailed it. It's glamping really. Wife and kids = old skool, bachelor type camping in the boonies and sleeping in the bed of my truck under the stars is out.

I was lazy about setting up a tent when it was just me. I could just through a sleeping bag in the bed of the truck and be good. Wife and kids need a bit "more" than that for some reason lol

Oh, and I will admit a massive (for an RV or truck at least) fridge running off solar is way, way better than an ice chest any day. Cold beers ready in the fridge 24/7 - yes! This thing typically travels to the kids sports games. Cold beers in the fridge for that don't hurt either!!

No real dirt play with this thing, but it does take us pretty places for "camping"

Hey man i dont judge thats killer. We have our 23’ side load we glamp in all the time. Good to see youre still out doing something in the less beaten path. Cool part is thats a bit of a swiss army knife. Itll tow a trailer if the kids ever decide to try a dirt bike

That spot was my favorite of a few we did on the Oregon Coast - all of which were pretty cool. This one was a place called Beverly Beach, which is close to Newport, Oregon. Through the trees where the sun is coming from on the bottom pic is highway 101 and the beach! Behind our campsite was a little creek and a lush, green trail beside that. Suuuuuper cool spot.

I installed a punisher valve body in my 350 today. Even with my bug rack (600ish lbs) it shifts like its got a serious pair now. Im pretty sure if i took out the rack it would chirp the tires.

The internal baffling and the stock plastic elbow got in the way of the new roller rockers that were necessary with the AFR heads… had a threaded bung added to the valve cover, installed a Radium low-profile banjo-style fitting and trimmed the stock PCV hose to fit… turned out great!

Thanks to Kritter for the help!

It is! The valve cover mod above made a HUGE difference. The car was sucking lots of oil through the PCV system post AFR heads and required PCV mods. In this condition, I wasn’t super excited about driving it long distances, but the pull to Barstow from here has a lot of long hills and was a great test. The engine is still tired, but that round tip resulted in an a few tablespoons of oil pushed into the catch can… I’ll take it!

Still need a roller 5.8L long block to rebuild, though….

I saw you as you were heading down the highway toward the exit. I was standing next to a vw on a rack. Wilson looked clean!
