Now I'm earning better, I bought myself a present. It's not as fancy as yours, B, but it should be just as good. Savage Tactical 20" in 308 Win.

Bugger, I submitted it before I added some detail. Topped it with the Bushness AR BDC 4.5 - 18X on QD rings, Allen sling and bipod. I also lucked onto a decent No 5 Jungle carbine barrel for my No 4. The useless 2 groove barrel will be used as a garden stake and the No 5 barrel will go in, an Addeley Precision mount and halo sight for short range pig and deer hunting, some Boyd wood and a nice sling to carry it with. I'll post pics when I get it done.

Thanks, Mate. Wanted one for a while, but couldn't afford it. Might run down to the block Friday to sight it in and run a few through it.

Gave the gun case a clean out to day before I go away again, and intalled some moisture absorbers to keep humidity under control. I checked all my guns for any rust or other crawlys and laid them out for a pic (before the camera went on strike again):

How do you like the Ares/Fightlite AR lower? It's a great option for CA but the price is painful.

I'm still in assembly phase. So far though, i like it!

I felt the same about the cost, until i priced comparable complete rifles. It's really not that bad.

I think I'm gonna just go with the mini. I know they aren't as accurate but I have a nice bolt gun for precision work.

I actually traded my mini for the lower. I've wanted one since they came out. Here it is so far...it's kinda like a mini, but funner. Still waiting on a couple of parts.Image

Yeah, they are sweet. I had a nice built AR and am currently in VA but with moving to CA was trying to figure out how to make it legal.

That will drive me nuts. I'd rather just get a mini than mess with the function of a gun. Minis are pretty sweet so I'm not really bummed

It's coming from Tasmania, so I should see it late next week, just in time for my birthday. Already got my shopping list drawn up, it'll be my urban defense/pig hunting go-to-er. More pics once it arrives. :D

Nice addition, Rod!

Cs, if i build another rifle, i'll go with one of the maglok solutions.
