Well I'm glad I have such positive role models on this site!! Way to point me in the right direction.... (Straight off the cliff!) geez my wife's going to kill me. Might as well put this out there now.

It amazes me how much the cars have changed. In high school around 1988 I worked for Ed and Linda at the RD car track next to the Mini Golf course and the Del Mar fair grounds. My first car I built was an electric Grasshopper. Then I built and raced the First Losi JRXT truck. Back then you could not buy a ready to run or race ready RC car new. Also gas cars were only on road racing RC car's. I love the nitro car evolution of the power plants.

Picking up an SC10 4x4 for the sole purpose of putting a bronco body on it! Seems like they are good cars, but I am completely new to these things. Can anyone recommend what I should do to it? I honestly have no idea.

The 4x4 sc10 is an excellent choice. I have both 2 Wheel and four-wheel-drive

I'm thinking a chassis brace will be my first mod. I like the idea of reliability/strength over performance at this point.

The 4x4 hauls butt. All you really need is that brace, and you'll be good until you want to go faster .
