yep, running the hard case packs!! there hard too come by because there always sold out. but if you leave your e-mail right under the order info, they will let you now when there in stock. my last order i bought eight of them!! had them in a week.

I'll have to do that.

Random note: Once when I was talking to a guy at Castle Creations about my set up, he asked what batteries I was using. When I told him they were "20C" he said they were a little soft for my set up. I don't have any idea what the "C" rating stands for but I guess I need MORE!

hey Philo which kv kit did you end up getting?
when it shows up and you need some set up help let me know!
and make sure you switch your battery and ESC connectors to deans plugs. the brushless power will burn up the Tamiya connectors. and don't forget too set your slipper clutch with that brushless power. and one more up grade!! when your ready for lipo batteries pick up some of these.

8.5T / 4000 kv and 60 amp. My buddys are getting HPI 5700kv kits but I don't think my truck will hook up enough for the slightly faster motor. I just upgraded everything to Dean connectors as we were already having problems with the Tamiyas.

Right on! i have heard good things about the 8.5t 540 motor. all the other ezrun motors i have seen are the 380 internals in a 540 can, 9t 12t etc.
and good call on staying away from the BIG kv#'s. these cars work great with anything from 4600kv to a 3300 spec kv class.

and asfar as a gyro servo corrector. i have never seen one, or have heard of anyone running one..

"C" rating is your boost!!
here's a run down

5000Mah=gas/run time
"C"=turbo/boost
2s,3s etc=volts

I'm pretty sure with that Castle kit you can run 3s lipo's. your truck will be fast as hell with that power!! if you stick with the 2s. get anything in the 30c-45c range.

Stock on mine was 16/87. My truck is a lot more controllable but crazy fast in upper-mid and top end with 20/87 gears. I change back to a 16 tooth pinion for the sand.

this is worthless for are short course trucks. drift rc cars have plastic tires.

Well, I got a whole 50 seconds of play time before I broke it again. The frame broke, but luckily the body sorta held the truck together.

Bummer! I keep hearing about that but, amazingly, mine is still OK. I really should get the brace as I show my truck zero mercy.

Well, with the help of Baja Pits and a roll of 3M duct tape we were able to fix it and limp the last lap to finish the Mint 400. Watch out for those nasty step ups.

I fixed my truck... it still needs a top plate but it's ok with the broken one for now.

I tried a 2s LiPo pack, I want to get rid of all my NiCd batteries now. I accidentally jumped my fence with the LiPo... it's so fast.

i love my slash 1/10. i jump it off roofs and it keeps coming back for more. im not into it enought to take it to the track but its insanely fun at the skate parks

LiPo is where it's at. I'm glad I didn't waste my time or money on any other battery. The run time alone makes the upgrade well worth it.

I took the car to my parent's house this weekend. I think my dad and one of my brothers are getting one now.
