if you were to buy one....

Post by bajascott »

i am going to do another run of light boxes on wedsday(my old place of employment said i could come downand used thier table and brake) and i was thinking of building them out of galvaneal, insted of mild steel.
pro : g-neal- no primer less chance of rust
con- more expensive
steel- pro-cheaper metal, can clear coat for natural finish
con- rust.....
if any of you were to buy one which would you buy?
the cost on g-neal will only reflect like a 5.00 increase.
stainless can be done but the whole point of me making these is to keep them affordable
they are tig welded and go for 150 with no lights

I'm still interested in one, but to be honest at this point it's kind of low on the priority list. But, when i am ready, i'd spring for the more expensive option.

Can you put up some detailed pics of yours so we can see how it's mounted and wired?

yea i will pretty soon. i am selling these mainly just the box no mounts(had very little intrest in the bronco top mount.)
i have to figure out a better way to mount my brackets to the top.on mine i have 4 large area rivots and it has not come loose.
on the later model tops they can be wired through the 3rd light.
on earlier they need to be drilled through.and there is big hunk of metal right where i drilled mine.
i sold the one on by bronco but when i get it replaced i'll post up!
