Ipod help
I hope one of you guys can help.
My son bought an ipod touch with a ton of music, some apps and games. Is there any way of saving all this stuff when it gets converted to his music library account?

Re: Ipod help
I've used http://www.getsharepod.com/ to get music off an ipod several times. I think it works on the iPod Touch too.

Re: Ipod help
He doesn't want to lose the music that's on it, he wants to save that. The apple store said that when he plugs it into our computer, itunes will not recognize it as his, he will have to go under his own account, and whatever music is on there will be errased. How can we switch it to my sons account, and save the music that's on there?SteveG wrote:I've used http://www.getsharepod.com/ to get music off an ipod several times. Re: Ipod help
If an Apple Store will do it free then that can save you time and a few brain cells.
If you want to do it yourself, the Sharepod software does it too. I've used it to take all the music from a friend's iPod and put it on my computer. By the way, music purchased through iTunes will be password protected.

Re: Ipod help
A bit late here Nick, but you can also use software called www.ephpod.com. That will also let you take the music from the ipod and put it on your pc. Once you do that, your golden, you can transfer to any other ipod etc etc.
By the way, my brothers and I are frequently doing this, and we have a little bit over 80gb of music, if you want some stuff, I am happy to share.

I don't know if my kid wants any texano/ranchera/mariachi music though.

Hahaha, good point! But if you live in the OC and happen to drive through Anaheim, or worse yet, Santa Ana, you need to be prepared with a least a little rancheras.
