I think more planned outings would help. With a caveat. Rather than trying to find a date that works for a bunch of people; plan a trip and post an invite. Those who can will show.

The closest i've been to socal, for other than a family event, was over 2 years ago when some of us met up in lucerne for an overnight pew pew trip.

Lucerne would be nice, when it's a bit cooler of course.

That is 1/2 hour 45 minutes from me, so that's easy as long as I am free. If we can figure out a date, I can get out there ahead of time (I am off Fridays) and take the trailer out to setup a camp site.

I'm pretty much open. The only caveat being, i have some health issues that flare up from time to time.
