Wasn't sure where to put this but I decided to build my own grill insert for my 97 f350. I found that 1. A grill setup like the one I made was pretty expensive and 2. I didn't care for cutting out the back of the grill and losing the air path through the radiator. I ended up cutting the cross sections out and plastic welded pieces back in to cover the gaps. I quick sanded it and shot some plastic dip to make it look black. Other issue is, being the truck is blue, I prefer the chrome and polished look. 16 gauge aluminum, grill mesh, bolts and a bunch of rivets this is what I've come up with. I did notice the truck does see more air through the radiator.
