Dave,

we were having a discussion in a different thread about wheel weights...could you provide approximate wheel weights for

1. 17x9 RT235 with aluminum rings (forged aluminum beadlock)
2. 17x8 RT235 with aluminum rings (forged aluminum beadlock)
3. 15x8 RT233 with aluminum rings (cast aluminum beadlock)
4. 17x8.5 RT233 with aluminum rings (cast aluminum beadlock)

3. 15x8 RT233 with aluminum rings (cast aluminum beadlock)
4. 17x8.5 RT233 with aluminum rings (cast aluminum beadlock)

Only difference is that the forged are only offered with the steel ring, I am sure they would let you do the aluminum rings if you really wanted. Going to the aluminum ring saves your roughly 2 lbs per wheel

1. 38 lbs (steel ring)
2. 33 lbs (steel ring)
3. 31 lbs (aluminum ring)
4. 40 lbs (aluminum ring)

Another one for you.....17x9.5 RT233 with Aluminum Rings is 42 lbs.

Thanks Dave! The discussion was actually in Baja F250's build thread, which was in Off-Road magazine a couple months ago, and named as one of their top 4 trucks of 2012... somewhere near page 50 for me http://www.gofastbroncos.com/forum/view ... start=1020

Just thought I would add to this about the forged vs cast.....Raceline tells me that the forged wheels are actually a softer metal than the cast wheels. Meaning the cast wheels are stronger but obviously like anything if they are abused enough they can break. The forged wheel is softer so that it will bend instead of breaking, this allows you to finish your race or whatever you are doing on a bent wheel since you can drive on a slightly bent wheel rather than being out of luck with a broken wheel.

I run the cast monsters on my buggy. They take a ton of abuse.
