Now he's just down 5:58. Mark Miller says if tomorrow's stage is similar to last year, he'll put 10 minutes on the field. Touch wood!

I am just barely following. I spend about 5 minutes a day gathering info and call it good. Mostly I'm relying on updates here, so keep them coming!

Nasser quit, had a series of belts go bad, and was so far behind, he called it done.

Robby won the stage yesterday

Robby was 13 minutes behind today, Finished 3rd because he blew it trying t pass Peter.

Now the rumors are he has a restrictor plat violation and may be DQ'd

another update from planet robby:

In case you missed it, here is a recap of all the fuss surrounding today. From Dakar.com

It should be noted that the car race officials' committee today published the following press release: “On completion of the 9th stage (Antofagasta-Iquique), following observation of technical non-compliance on vehicle No. 303 (Robby Gordon) (article 1P and 3P of the technical rules), the Car Race Officials' Committee has decided to disqualify No. 303 from the race. The driver has appealed against this decision. During appeals, decisions are placed on hold. As a result, vehicle No. 303 will continue the rally until the outcome of the appeal”.

Note: The appeal could take up to 3 weeks before getting heard, so they will continue to run the rally.

Robby killed it today, and then in the interview, shows everyone the questionable intake access after the restrictor plate, and the fact he now is running with it plugged....

then cautiously says KISS MY ASS!!!

As I said on RDC... watched it three times already and love it! It truly is a shame there is no nerfing in the rally. Robby will be at full tilt from here on out and it would be GLORIOUS to watch him punt other cars out of the way!

Cautiously? I watched another video where he brought the Mini crews over to show them. I couldn't believe they actually stood there for the beating. He's standing by his word so far today too. After the first WP, he's already put over 3 minutes on the field. He's an animal when he's mad!

Hell yeah B!!! I have always been a fan, but now more than ever. He looked legitimately pissed about being called a cheater, I hope he makes up another 26 minutes on the minis!!
