MORE Freedom 250 July 17th 2010 Barstow CA

Post by Polarcub »

Well boys and Girls in True Kaveman fashion the decision was just made we will be racing in the Freedom 250. If you are interested in being as hot as a boiling tamale We can use some help again.
The plan as of today.....Matt and I will be taking the car the whole race Dad is sitting out (allegedly) Matt intends to drive the entire thing and my bumb arse is co-dawging.
This means we are going to be in need of 3 or 4 people to man up main ie listen to radio, fuel/water for us. I am pretty sure that the main chase duties are already covered by Tony and Crew. If anyone is interested please let me know. I will be at sea the week of the race not getting in till friday so I dont know if i am going to make it out fri night or not.
Plan on triple digits for temps until the sun sets always a great race.
As always we are very grateful for the help we couldnt do this without all the help we get form everyone. Thanks!

By the way guys, this is a loop race, typically 30 mile loops so a significant amount of action. It also typically starts around 4pm, so a ton of evening and night racing!!

Status change - in life and therefore for the race... :(

Suzy is a no go, and I am at this point a maybe. It may be good to force myself to get out and have some fun, so maybe I'll tag a ride with Tony or Chris.

Nothing good ever came from sitting at home staring at the wall Steve. Come out and it'll give you even more motivation to get that damn Super Cab done.

A quick update on race plans. Talked with my dad and brother yesterday over some BBQ and corn...mmm and it loks like we are planning on Matt starting the race with me in the right seat and Dad taking the last 2/3 laps. So we are looking at a min of 2 stops one for fuel and one for a driver change. I am going to probably be riding co-dawg for the whole thing.
I will be gone 12-16 so I wont be out till sat morning. Matt will be out Friday to tech the car and I intend to get out early sat to do a pre run sat morning.
Tony and crew will likely be out around Hodge and it looks like we will have a few folks up in main to handle gas and such. Looking forward to getting out again.
