JUNE 28, 1:00PM and 5:00PM
Anyone going?
I know our very own CSDrums (Brian) has ran it in the past; I've always just spectated.
This year it's on the weekend- my place is in Del Mar not far from the Fairgrounds- anyone up to meet up for a beer or two around noon and head over for the 1pm start?
Let me know....

I'm down to watch this year. Hit me up.
It's a lot of fun but be safe my buddy went a little to big last year and broke his back. Lesson learned, take it easy on the first run.

Headed to Tuff Trucks yesterday with DMBronco and CS_Drums...great times fellas!
I only snapped 3 pics...and all of them were of the McNeil Explorer carnage. Ouch!

it had one, although apparently not built by the Mcneils (according to his Instagram). Was 1.5" mild steel and from the looks of it, didn't do a whole lot.

Putting s bunch of tubes in a truck isn't really a cage haha. Proper build and most importantly effect design are key.

I was wondering how they would have let it run without a cage. As was pointed out - just putting tubes in there doesn't constitute a cage. Doesn't look like much protection at all was offered by whatever was there.

for that exploder a 1.5" cage that was PROPERLY DESIGNED would have held up well I think. 2" is overkill for most trucks. Class 8's etc. were running 1.75" for years and were fine. 2" is nice, but not necessary. Design is just as important if not more so than tubing size.

I think design is the most overlooked and by far the most important aspect of a cage
