Saw you guys go by. The truck looked smooth, and sounded awesome!

Going down to watch the start was the most fun I've had in years!

Here is a small update.

The Bronco unfortunately is out. Rear suspension failure that was not repairable. Finished day 1 in awesome shape, and while prepping for day 2, caught the failure. Would have ended our day ugly if we started so called it

The Autofab parts truck is doing fantastic. Running super strong on day 1 and making up time on people. Day 2, had trans issues. Found a local mechanic to burn through the midnight oil to repair. Currently being worked on to start day 3

Not sure what happened, but we did see Rory on a trailer heading home yesterday.

Darn, even with the mellower routes Norra uses, baja still takes its toll!
Saw the tranny thread on RDC and so cool that it may have helped them connect with a shop in Loreto.
Best of luck to the Parts Truck for a finish.

Day 2 seemed to be filled with carnage. Easily saw a half dozen rigs on trailers........

Just got a text from Yikes, John and Rick got the tranny fixed in Loreto and are taking the green flag for day 3 in about 30 minutes!

Rory had lots of issues yesterday including a busted 3 link and overheating. He decided to call the race. Very tough decision for him but it was the right call.

My friends are down there with Betsy (Baja Bob's vintage racer) and the UPS Prophy Truck. Both running top 10.

I F'ing wish I was there!!!!!!!!!

Just got home. We took 2nd in Class with 5 trucks entered. A few issues this year but nothing major.

Great time as always.

You guys looked great Todd. We had rear axel problems on the first day and lost the motor north of La Paz on the 3rd day. Went back up to Loreto to party, then to Playa El Burro to party, then to San Quintin to party, then Rounded off the edges at Ensenada!

I ended up taking the wife's Tahoe down and the highlight was on the way home coming into San Felipe, I look in the rear view mirror and there is a genuine Stroppe race bronco closing fast on the highway.
It passes just as the road turns into the setting sun and provides a great silhouette against the sun with the unmistakable profile of a classic race bronco, with exhaust sounds to match.
Bam, it was like I was back in 1969. I wonder if the NASCAR fans in South Carolina ever get passed by a genuine 60's Holman and Moody stock car while cruising down a country road.
Doubt it. Viva Baja. And congrats on the good run Todd!

Chris, that right there is the best I've ever read someone describe what makes racing/chasing in Baja so unbelievably special!
Especially when compared to NAPscar. Used to go camp in the infield at California Speedway too, but I'll save my money for Baja.
Viva Baja!
