2014 NORRA 1000

Post by Bukin 67 »

Well, 30 days to go! So who will I see down there? tcm glx? BajaBronco13? Anyone esle?

My Bronco's getting close. I'm replacing the entire cooling system with an HD aluminum radiator from TBP, along with water pump gaskets, hoses and thermostat. The take-offs will be spares. I'm also putting in a new fuel pump and installing an in-line electrical fp I can switch on if needed. the C4, D20 and diffs have all been cleaned, serviced, inspected and tightened. The main thing I have left is installation of a Currie sway bar set-up, then testing.

That is so cool. My cousin worked with Rod on his Hummer DARPA project to get a computer controlled hummer to navigate off road through the desert without human interaction.

That may be true......If work lets me , I plan on going with OldBaja to chase and support the first stage. That first day is going to be a hell of a day. Some folks will need luck making it to BOLA only to start on time the next day.

Well it looks like the cat is out of his bag.

A few weeks back John called and asked if I wanted to join him at another shot at the Norra 1000. We are sharing expenses and driving duties in the spare parts truck. We are number 15 in the vintage open truck w/ rear leaf spring class. This is a big bucket list item for me and I can't thank John enough for the opportunity. I am just chompin' at the bit waiting for May cause this is goin be good.

Make sure you get video of the dog bouncing around the cab. Lol

That's so cool to read Rick. It's going to be epic!

Man I hate that last minute crap, especially when motor pulling is involved, but better to pull it here...

Looks good. We'll be @ HP Ranch Fri nite.
