Man I love to hate MORE's schedule! When Matt & I went over race dates early this year I realized yet again most of the races would be hard to make without getting shot by my family for missing mom's b-day or something similar.
Dec. race is the one I sometimes have a chance on if the gods of family Christmas party smile upon me & the fam picks a different weekend. Yeah, not so much.

If its any constellation Steve, I've missed Tierra del sol every year due to my daughters birthday. I've wanted to go forever due to the auction and a potential to get free stuff lol, the sting of family responsibility is real. I feel your pain

Moms b-day = may 25th = chili cook off (or night race - can't remember) every years. Wife's b-days = July 21st = chili cookoff or night race. December race = extended family holiday party more years than not.

Yup, I'm doomed to miss races. haha

I really appreciate everyone willing to come out and brave the cold!

However, there is a hitch for this particular race.....as of right now there are only 3 cars on the entry list and one of those cars is not going to race if the car count doesn't go up. After alot of thought on my end I am thinking that we are going to skip this race. I will know more after the start order draw today.

I want to let you all know (and alot of you do know) this isn't Kaveman Motorsports usual MO. We are very dedicated to the MORE series. The reasons that this possibility came up was because I was actually planning to race BOTH the MORE race and then race SNORE Rage at the River the following weekend. But with the car count so low for the MORE race there is nothing really to be gained for by racing it as long as 1 particular car doesn't race it either. We are locked into 3rd in the points as long as the one particuar car doesn't race and when I spoke to him he said he was not racing. On the flip side, the SNORE race has over 21 cars already preentered and about 3 or 4 more that should also race. there is also alot of bonus money up for grabs. So basically I would prefer to save the car and the money for the big race.
Also, if we don't race the MORE race it will save the car from having to do a full prep before the Jan. MORE race and since I have been unemployed for 2 months that is a very big factor for me. As of right now I am planning to race a full MORE schedule and finally win that championship!

With all that being said the official decision wont be till tommorow but as of right now I dont see us racing the MORE race. I post tommorow and let you know if anything has changed

I hope that everyone understands and knows that I have lost alot of sleep over making this decision.

I am thinking about going out to the race though just to hang out and help out anyone who needs help.
