MORE Season Opener Jan 22 Barstow

Post by Polarcub »

Well Boys and Girls its that time again and the KaveMan team can use some help. Along with the Kaveman 990 I am also soliciting/inviting help for the Rock Donkey Class1/Ultra4 who will be running the full MORE season. Please let me know if you would be interested in helping out we would like to field a remote pit/chase team and could use an extra hand in main and possibly on the radio. We are all hoping for a better season that will include some podium finishes 2010 ended with the KaveMan team as 3rd in points for class. We could not have done it without all of the volunteers.
Jan 22nd Barstow Race will Start at 8am for 7 27.5 mile loops for the 990 and 8 for the 4454/118 car
Tech Fri Jan 21 at outlet center mall parking lot 5-9pm (behind del taco 76 station)

Hope to see you there!

If anyone is interested MORE needs a course monitor for MM6-8 still good area to watch the race form as well looks like it will be in the college hills area...if interested hop into the race talk forum on MORE's site and let Jim know. BLM is requiring a full list of all volunteers.

Just a quick update for everyone that has heard of the last minute crisis for MORE regarding insurance requirements. It appears that Jim
has been able to meet BLM requirements and the race is going off as planned. There was an adjustment to entry fees and some donations that facilitated things. If you are aware of a company or other entity that would be interested in donating $$ or possibly sponsoring a race contact Jim or Ron with MORE.
Cant wait till nest week it will be good to be out again!

Two quick updates, it looks like the 4454 Ultra 4 will be out at the race (racing Class1) with the Kaveman team (more to follow) and it came out at the MORE awards dinner last night that MORE is limiting us to a single chase team and all chase team vehicles must have the vehicle number of the car they are supporting displayed in the rear window. I will be putting together some paper signs for our volunteers as I know not everyone wants the numbers in their window all the time.
Looks like weather will be cooperating but cooler next week!

My buddy chased for a 1600 car last weekend and they got 4th. I heard it was a rough course!
I'm just here for the views. It helps me feel wanted.
