My dads buddy started SD prerunner way back in the day. Monthly meetings and caravan out to the desert. Was fun while it lasted.
I think Temecula is a pretty centralized spot for most of us. Let's get something going!!

I will be staying in Temecula for the first part of June (Probably 1st - 9th) before I move to Hawaii. If would be awesome to meet up with everyone before I leave.

May I suggest Sunday evening, June 7th, or a day in the week, like Tuesday June 2nd. Would be a cool going away GTG! Ha
The weekend of the 4-6th is the Baja 500 so you will have many folks out that weekend. Just a thought to keep in mind.

I helped set up a prerunner meet down here in San Diego last week. We had a solid 30 trucks show up.

I would love for GFB members to have regular gatherings. It's why we started the board in the first place. Use it! Being several hours away, I'm not going to commit to a regular meeting but it would absolutely give me some incentive to go south to see people I rarely get to see. And some I've never met!
I know it's been attempted before with occasional success, but I think it would be cool to change it up when there is an event/race. A get together after, before, prerunning, tailgating, whatever... anything to get people out, socializing and sharing our similar interests. There's a small handful of members that do that but a lot of us that don't take advantage of what we have here... a group of really good group of like-minded folks of all walks of life.
There will come a time when we're all totally over this stuff, too busy (or in the illusion that we are), too old, broke, whatever, to enjoy this kind of thing. Live in the now and PLEASE, use GFB to promote such things. It is at your disposal.
I resent the reference to getting old and broke. How dare you.

I won't be able to make that but don't plan it around me! Make this kind of stuff happen and I'll make it at some point... looking forward to it.
