'68 Roadster - Yikes Dad

After bugging my father for the last few years, he finally came through and sent me his old pictures of the Bronco that fueled my dreams as a little kid. He and my mom built it in 1974. In fact, my mom went to school to learn how to upholster and did the seats and roll cage. Lil Louie did the pinstripes. I believe he was 14 or 15 at the time. It took him 13hrs and it came out awesome. Anyway, I'll leave you to the pictures...

Tear-down before the build. That's my pedal car in the picture too. Loved that thing!

I wish I knew Steve. I would try to get it back, regardless of condition. Unfortunately my Dad sold it the year after he built it to help fund our move to Oregon....$3200.

Just like I'm my dad's 58 Buick convertible. That I'm told was pristine... sold to pay the hospital bill. The good news is, I was worth it!

That's a great looking truck! Chrome steelies and Armstrong Tru Tracs. Plus a Hurst shifter.

That was pretty dang sporty for '74.

The rooftop shots are epic. There's some Love! Mom and Dad must've been bummed to have to sell it. Plain to see where you got the bug.

I'd love to as well, but the cost makes it tough. Funny that the 70's broncos are one of the few "off road" type trucks she likes. Why do girl always have such expensive taste??? haha

Yep. Ford had them on the '68 Broncos (and maybe '67s too) and then ditched them again until the '74 models.
