Eric’s 1993 Bronco Fun Runner Build

Post by HB2BAJA »

1993 Ford Bronco XLT
5.8L 351W 147k Miles
Bone Stock
Brief description of my build I’m going to keep it on the more simple side for daily driving and offroad use. I plan on driving this down to Mexico to spectate races and also for vacations to Mexico. I will be updating this tread as I go with disassembly and installation and fabrication

1993 bronco build
Front End:
Stock coil buckets (with minor modification)
Deaver 5.5 coil spring
4” drop brackets
Stock width TTB with plating and truss
Tube,Plated,Hiemed radius arms
2.5 bypass shocks or smooth body
Tube bumper up front

Rear End:
Deaver J40 rear springs
Camburg 1.5 extended shackles
Under the bed shock mounts
2.5 bypass shocks
New spring perches to correct the pinion angle.

Inside:
Lowrance GPS
Race radio
Satellite radio with new speakers
Possibly a 4 way intercom system depending on how loud the cab is

This is the plan as of today of what I want to do plans might change I will keep this thread updated with pictures and posts as often as I can.

Had some time on sunday to do a little bit of work on the bronco little by little chipping away at it trying to fit up my radius arms to the beams next time i work on her. I got some parts in and more of an idea of what i will be doing with her i purchased the 5.5 superflex prerunner kit from JBG i will be modifying the coil bucks by cutting the stock shock mount off and welding the f250 shock mounts off a 92 to allow for a longer shock.

I got a lot of work done this weekend on the bronco. I got the front end put together its now sitting on its own weight. I still need to find some shocks and weld on lower shock mounts on. Rear deavers were installed i need to weld new perch pads to fix pinion angle. Install under the bed shock mounts and extended shackles. The truck is starting to come together now always good when its on its feet again

Been a while since I updated this thing I installed giant motorsports drop brackets and got rid of my cheapo brackets I had on there. They are super beefy.ImageImageImage

Haven't posted here in a while a couple more things done to the bronco. I installed new rear shock mounts with more mounting holes and more support. I installed new 15.5" 3.25" solid bypass shocks made by geoff falzone from giant motorsports. I went back down to 33" tires from the 33s I was running for less rubbing at bump better drivability.ImageImageImageImageImageImage
