Thank you. 4 years it sat with the wiring harness flopped over the engine. Carly was curious if I would remember all the stupid plugs that went together. Front brake lines are done. I ran them down the frame rail to the radius arms. Years ago when i had my old one, I ran extended brake lines. Carly was driving and the tire managed to rub a hole in the brake line. That shouldn’t happen again. Hopefully i can flip it around this month before the girls start back up in September. Rear will be simple so it shouldn’t take me too long to finish. What’re the thoughts of rebuilding the existing posi with carbon fiber clutches? Worth it? Ive been debating rebuilding the trac lock or suck it up later and get a tru track or similar. I don’t want a full locker in it. Had a Detroit before and it sounded like i was doing donuts in the parking lot.

I'd rebuild the posi with new clutch plates and NEW springs (I don't think using carbon clutch plates does a lot) and use a non-friction modified oil in the diff. Yes, it might chatter a little on cornering, however it will grip better when called upon to provide max traction.

Thank you Rod. I wasn't sure if I was being a complete cheap ass or if it made sense. I believe they sell a 4 spring setup for the trak locs which is supposed to provide more clamping force. I figure if we want to get crazier, I'll ditch the 8.8 and shove a 9" under it.

Plus the relocating of the speed sensor, etc. That wont be a cheap conversion anymore. Unless Carly plays 'Flying Bronco', the 8.8 will do the job for now.

Thank you Matt! With all the new parts like fully fabricated beams etc. Carly's is mild, but effective. You still have yours?

The girls are now racing 2 series. 170s and sprint carts BUT we finally rear end parts! I ended up ordering a complete rebuild kit from yukon on amazon. Turns out its a pretty nice kit for under 600.00. I forgot to order a crush sleeve eliminator kit so that will need to be ordered. Image
