nope. i picked a truss from a barnes 4wd and had some fixturing cut from my homies at lasernut to attempt to straighten, truss integrated into the diff cover and weld the tubes to the center but work got busy and i havent touched it. i am concerned there is not enough room over the diff at bump for the truss, but we shall see.

i made the hauler in under 15 mins with what was laying around, it worked but wasnt ideal. i suggest tossing something in there to actually cradle the tube to keep it from sliding around.

Thanks for the input. I was thinking I'd set 2x4's on their side & cut a half circle out of each to set the axle tube on.

an update

- got the rear axle trussed, tubes welded to the center, had it check over by my gear guy. all new bearings and seals since axle shaft had some fretting from the housing being bent and sent metal everywhere. drive side shaft too some serious swinging hand press action to get out.
- install desolates new rear spring setup with hangers, shackles and what not
- resprung the front to raise the ride height from stock, the thing is a monster truck now. went from a 275/400 spring rate to 400/550
- passenger side got some new parts since the 1/2" extension debacle did more damage then i anticipated. crushed some bearings, bent the knuckle, messed up the spindle. tracking down a new spindle was its own ordeal. http://www.gofastbroncos.com/forum/view ... f=6&t=9799
- started on my 1.5" over beams but that project got shelved, but will be revisited as time permits. main thing is would have taken too long to get them in mocked up along with provisions for bypasses.

Ouch!! How did that happen??

I like the exhaust mounting concept.

Also, i'll need you to teach me your wiring skills when i start adding accessories to mine. I love the neat harnesses.

kids tossed an extension in the wheel, didnt tell me it was in there. left for work heard a rattle, couldnt find it, it didnt rattle after i stopped to check, until about 15 miles later on the freeway i got a loud bang, then flat tire. i figured there was something in there and it just wore through the wheel. the look on the AAA dudes face was a good one when he pulled if off and that dropped out.

first truck was toyota and the exhaust was a constant issue. developed the solid mount until the tcase output method after trying all kinds of methods. if i was going to run a muffler it would attached a flex joint in between the cat and the rest of the exhaust.

as for wiring two things to consider - it will be expensive and it will take time. im probably $600-700 in material for my harness, with probably $300 in left overs because i ordered based on what i thought i needed since i had never done it before. the heat shrink is where the money really adds up. wiring has always been something i half assed before and this go around i threw money at it to force myself to do a good job. just start adding wiring guys to your IG feed. i was also fortunate enough to be doing prep for an u4 team that used gary from proformance, so anytime he was in the shop for repairs or upgrades he was kind enough to answer my questions. he is actually the one who pointed me to switchpros, because after being around motec i wanted something simple, clean and solid state but motec is many dollars more than i needed.

How about a first right of refusal if you ever decide to switch it up. :-)

Also, looks like a snap on extension. Did it pass the test of still kinda working?
