I wanted to use the red S2 as a 3rd brake light when in the dust. The 4 small LED's will work 100% of the time when I push the brake pedal like a normal CHMSL. The red S2 is run via a relay, tapping power from my dust light so that it lights up when I depress the brakes, but ONLY when the dust light is on. Should help prevent getting clobbered from the rear in dust, and let people know where I am, and when i'm slowing down.

I started by identifying the factory trailer brake harness, and the brake light signal wire.

I tapped main power from my Baja Designs S1 dust light.

I used the main power from the S1 to run to a relay, and used the trailer brake signal as the brake signal wire.

After 4 years of collecting parts, and rolling my install date back multiple times to projects running long, I finally got my baby over to Desolate for the full install. They had it stripped in about a had and a half, and the front in by the end of the week. We opted for ALL of the billet parts...

Realize now I missed some things, a little out of order.

Picked up the rear axle, needed a new replacement shaft due to some wear, but otherwise was perfect.

Installed a Little Shop MFG rear disc kit

Sold my 45L fridge, and ordered a 35. Installed Solo Motorsports cargo shelf brackets. my measurements say the new fridge will fit under the shelf, so I can put ready access items on top, keep the expensive stuff out of sight.

Duplexer installed, since I run two antenna, but this will automatically use the better antenna for either UHF or VHF without me having to do any antenna musical chairs or tuning.

Added some copper foil tape to the shell to hopefully improve the ground plane to the rear. Could be no benefit, but we'll see.

Well September 2023 was a wild month... My job asked me to accept a promotion that included moving from Southern CA to the Bay Area... Bought a house as a single dude. Never something I thought would happen... Packed up my love and my Bronco, and tucked it into its own garage finally!

Headlights were starting to yellow after months sitting outside. Not much to be done there, and Tony and I decided the new suspension needed the newest in LED tech to match. He whipped up a new set of headlights for me, and we did corner markers and ambers while we were at it. In they go.

I've always had a dream of owning an ex forest service bronco. The color is so cool, and it just adds to the utilitarian roots of all Broncos. Underland Offroad has been instrumental in supplying a lot of my parts from King, Baja Designs, sPod etc. With all the work they've put into bringing my dreams to life, we decided that the Bronco is more or less a shop truck for them at this point, and they offered to sponsor a wrap...

Here are the renderings.

We dropped the Bronco off with Elite Shield Auto Spa in Palmdale and the ordered the vinyl to make it happen! (Bronco is becoming an unintentional trailer queen being dragged around the state for work.

Eric at Elite Shield really went all out, stripping the Bronco as if he were getting it ready for paint...

Eric thought he'd give me a heart attack by sending this and saying he thought the color was wrong...

...In reality, the paint on the hood was so bad he had to put down a different type of vinyl to get the final color to lay down and stick without ruining the vinyl.
