95 Super Slow Build. Nate (Needles)

Post by Needles929 »

I know this will get buried in the forum from time to time but oh well. Really excited to get started! Just have to work out a few minor issues first.

With a little luck this weekend, I will remove these hideous track bars, install shocks and pull several small parts from the yard. MSOP, interior pieces, and a set of beams.

What is everyone else paying for beams from their local yard??

Soo much time spent chasing all the little new Bronco owner gremlins, I finally got something done. Small but effective

Picked up a set of extra beams last night. Going to try and get them swapped out as cores before the first of the year for some C&T's

I'm also pretty bummed that I drove almost 2 hours the other day to look at a set of deavers that weren't even the right ones! Oh well.

Pulled off all the parts and bushings from the spare beams. Sending them from clean up on Wed. Contemplating uniball or regular bushing for the pivots.

if youre not going to beat on the truck too hard or at least don't plan to, id just get some energy urethane bushings and run those. theyre easy enough too change later if need be.

Just going to keep this thread going. Sold the 95 and starting over. Time to make and save that $$$$

Didn't make it to the Leduc swap meet because we had a showing on a house here in AZ that we want. Looks like I will be moving May 1st and then the fun can begin!

I did get some really cool stuff this weekend. My late Uncle had a bunch of car stuff in his estate. He was definitely a hoarder of cool stuff. I got a box a while back that I never really looked through till now. Kind of like Christmas! LOL

Bend Tech SE program
icengineworks 1750 modeling kit
Pipemaster Pro joint template kit
New Starret Micrometer set
Some other random cool tools.

Yay!

What are your thoughts for starting over, stock or semi-built already?

I would always be on the lookout for a semi built one. Two things that hinder that... 10K cash, and someone willing to sell a decent built rig for 10K. LOL

Putting money away as we speak. Just need more, like always!

I think you can find something in that range. I got my solo built bronco for less than that, and it was ready to drive to the desert and play around. Needed lots of love and cleaning up but it was capable of being driven hard while that happened. Good luck.

I’m probably in your range truthfully on my 96.

Bronco prices have been surprising me recently. I think with the crazy jump of the early broncos people are thinking the 80-96 should follow suit. A couple mid range build big broncos have sold for pretty good money (speaking from a historical standpoint on what these tend to go for) and now the prices seem to have spiked. Used to be you could get a damn nicely functioning bronco for $15k (think when Ollie was selling his) and now guys are asking high 20's to high 30's for something in that capability range.

That is very true. They are all over the board it seems.
