rolled when i came whipping around a cut back too fast and over corrected. luckly we only went to the roof and had two trees stop us before we went all the way down to the bottom. it was a long, cold, wet, and dark hike out back to the main road. and the mt lion i saw along the way didn't help to brighten the mood.

this shell is probably the sole reason why we weren't smashed. only had this crack and a knocked out window. the rest of the shell was unscathed. but the sheet metal was crunched all the way around except for the tail gate.

Man, sorry to hear you rolled it, I loved the build.....

Question, instead of a body swap, why not pick up another Bronco and swap your running gear into it? Seems like that might be a simpler solution.

sorry guys... balancing two girl friends (bronco and the real one) takes a lot of time. but yeah, did the swap about 6 months ago. worked real good. i was able to find a $800 donar bronco on craigslist that had the e40d, a 351W, and a manual transfer case. i was stoked. wiring harness was the same and the body was clean with out rust or any major damage.
but to keep with chronology i'll post pics in order.

I've always been amazed at how strong the rear pillar on the top is. I've seen tons of Broncos wrecked and I don't think I've ever seen that part collapsed.

On a side note it's scary how easy the steel part of the roof will cave in.

decided to repaint the grey plastics a dark shadow blue. used the dupli-color paint adhesive with a flexible plastic rattle can paint. worked great, and is still holding to the plastic.

whoops! destroyed my passenger side front wheel bearings... probably from that borrego trip. exploded at 75 mph on the freeway, with a gnarly death wobble that immediatly followed.
