I have had Ford Racing 4.56 gears in my F1 for 3 years now. No problems

I spoke with Bobby the other day, and got some Q80's and shackles coming from the Solo farm of badassery. In the meantime, prepping for the teardown.

I got a spark of insanity and pulled the upper bracket of the spare tire carrier. Makes a good whip mount for the dez.

Watermelon dorado huh? There's one to look out for! Sounds rad. I've gone through the grapefruit sculpin & into the pineapple sculpin but watermelon just sounds refreshing!

Oh and cool progress on the truck too - lol

The watermelon is kinda Jolly Rancher-ish. But definitely easy drinkin'.

I got my hands on some Q80's and Solo shackles today. A huge shout out to Bobby and Paul for hooking this up and delivering the parts. I've been beyond happy with Solo every time I deal with them.

Grats dude. They talked you into Q80s instead of J40s haha. Bobby said they are softer and better for gofast stuff.

Yeah, sounds like the J40s ride like a tank. I'm not planning on loading my Bronco down too much, so the Q80's should be perfect. I'm super stoked to get these on!

Question: The Solo conversion kit came with the shackle hanger drop brackets, and after combing the search function it's sounds split whether guys use them or just notch the body. What's the better move (or is it just personal preference)? As much as I love cutting out rivots, I can imagine notching the body is equally awesome.

I don't have experience with the solo Q80 set up but I'd error on keeping ride height lower personaly

The shackles clear the under side, but hit the back side of the body. Is the shackle gonna cycle that far back?

I think I've answered my own question. I looks like I'd have to cut a lot of body out. I'm gonna just use the drop down brackets.
