Played around with the steering. Hope to get straight links and use stock tierods to keep the vehicle Nazi's off my back.

Joel's Bronco II
Got some motivation and got the axle pulled from the parts truck.
Next is to get the dash out to access the harness. Then get about thinning it out.

Found a guy online selling some rear window fillers. Going to get them. Like I need another project. But will have the windows out to do the cage anyway.

Re: Joel's Bronco II
Thanks Brian.
Going to try to get the brackets bolted up so I can start on my rad arms in the next little bit.
Need to get the rear axle cleaned of brackets to get it mocked in as well.

seeing stuff like this gets me mad at myself for being to lazy to mess with solidworks for the last 10+ years. I was supposed to start working on it a while back & got lazy. I still do all my part design in 2d cad & every time I see something cool like this cross member I kick myself!

Goodies, for the axles!DirtFiend602 wrote:such as?
I've done it for so many years and it just flat out works fantastic when it all bolts right in place. It's one tool that I use that I'd be almost lost without. Sure I can go and make cardboard cutouts then transfer to steel, but the time it takes to cut them out when you don't have a bandsaw is retarded. Besides the Laser cut parts are so damn clean.ChaseTruck754 wrote:seeing stuff like this gets me mad at myself for being to lazy to mess with solidworks for the last 10+ years. In the next couple weeks I'll be working on this hardcore. Finally the hunk of a parts truck got hauled away and I'm helping a buddy get his truck back together so it can be inspected again and put on the road. Going to start cleaning out the shop and getting my parts rounded up to get the axles back under the truck for mockup.

Re: Joel's Bronco II
Getting the itch to wrench on this thing again. Picked up an 8.8 from an F150 yesterday. Going to ditch the Expo rear and wheel adapters. The F-150 axle is 1" wider than the Expo+spacers.
Time to get the 5.13's and mini spool stuffed into it and get it under the truck. May be moving in the spring so I need it to be a roller.

Will be crankin on this this week. See if i can get the motor and trans in place. So i can finish the crossmember. Get the rear axle cleaned up and in place and try to get the front locked down to get radius arms built.

Not much done that is worth pictures. Got the tcase on the trans and got the axle set on perches. Got it centered. Just need to get engine and trans in to set the pinion angle then i can get the perches tacked on.

Re: Joel's Bronco II
Project is dead. No sense beating on it. The rust has literally taken over and its just not worth chipping away at it. The body and frame are headed to the chipper this week.
