That was actually my RZR lol. Him and Sykes race the Sonora Rally in it and won the 4 wheel class by 3.5 hours Over All. Lol. He finally brought it back to my shop today. He said he doesn't know if he will attend Norra.

Aaaa, He said he was racing in one, I was not sure on the details. We need to get his Early Bronco done for next year's NORRA race.

That is totally believable that he won by that much. Some friends of mine were on a dual sport ride and followed the rally for quite awhile and they didn't have anything good to say about it. Especially pertaining to pits and the lack of urgency. A seasoned desert racing team should easily dominate that rally.

I talked to Ramsey this morning and he said the navigation by book is what is so different from the type of racing we are use to.

Believe it or not rally with way points and a book of mileage is totally different than open desert racing. They had to pick trails that nobody had traveled to find way points not a worn in 2 track. Rally are totally different then standard racing in regards to pits as well. If you pull in to get fuel you are automatically docked 15 mins so why not relax and utilize it. This rally took place in a lot of sand dunes where someone that grew up in the sand would excel. Now on to the part where they did not have anything good to say. I know first hand everyone that paid the entry and got the 411 absolutely loved it. It is not like a score race where you as a spectator can get a coarse map and go catch some road crossings. That is what makes it a challenge. If I have the extra dough next year I will definitely do the Sonora Rally. This year with Norra it was just out of the question. I am sorry that your friends didn't have any positive thoughts of it but next time they should sync up with Darren Skilton and see if they could get some info and try to help.

They made multiple attempts via phone and email to support the race and volunteer but no one seemed to want the help. It seems the people that are into rally type races did enjoy themselves, its just not everyones cup of tea.

Nice, I like the tanks. I use to have a rack on mine years ago when I chased with it before I got the f350.

The rack looks good. Is it steel or aluminum?

Here are some pics from Norra. The last one is where we loaded the bronco on Russ's trailer to haul to Loreto for new transfer case. I had a great time and Bronco performed great for its first baja trip. Note that trailer the bronco is on is the best baja trailer. Russ built it and it has a ton of storage and lockable compartments and hauled my pig like it was on rails. I may have to have him build me one now or buy this one so he can build a new one. It sits on 35" tires with 7500lb torsion hubs and it is for sale. But the orange has got to go.

Nice, I've seen a few trailers like that always wondered how top heavy they would be with a Bronco on it. Whats he want for it and what is the length? (18' or 20' ?)....and yes the orange has to go!

I believe he wants $6k as is or $8k sand blasted and painted buyers choice of color. It tows great and the way he describes it is if you mirrors don't hit the trailer wont. I will say I wouldn't tow a bronco on it with a 1/2 ton but I towed a race truck on it behind my ecoboost f150. He built for Baja roads. Believe it or not there is a hunt quad and 3 spare 37s under the bronco. Removable hitch for security ect. He has 14k into building it. Believe it is 20' with 18' flat deck.

I loved that my trailer was 102" wide until I had to tow it around Baja... 90" wide max in the future...

Also, Taller is better down there... my license plate folded up the first Pemex we hit.

Has ours made at 96" just for that, and it's still dicey passing the cattle trucks. They thought I was crazy for wanting a prerunner trailer less than 102". Guys can't understand why they blow so many trailer tires in Baja.....look at the scrub marks off the pavement edge from everyone trying to save their own ass (and their rig).

Back to Broncos......love the pics. Coco is just cool period.

We went and did a little tent camping up in Big Bear this weekend. It was a blast to take the bronco out on some of the trails. I think we are going again for Memorial day weekend.
