If love wore info on the AC unit. I ditched mine for more space under the hood. Love to see more pics and a link to where I can find it. What's the ball park $$?

So what did Duffy's have to say about the 393 problems? Go Lq/Ls and get the MPG along with the power...

very interested in the cost of the AC & how it ends up working for you as well. Looks like a cool (pun intended), compact unit.

Kartman are you going to run both systems or just the roof unit?

Factory AC was removed for 3 reasons.

1. It sucked
2. The factory condenser covered 90% of the radiator
3. Need to room for a proper DOnaldson air filter

Bummer on the engine. I dig the AC! That's something I considered a few years ago but never pulled the trigger. Nice job.

Condenser being mounted to the roof. Should be like a refrigerator inside the truck when done.

Took the words out of my mouth. I thought about doing something similar on my Bronco years ago but never considered the condenser on a roof rack. Bad ass!

Where does the plumbing run to come from?

Have not plumbed it yet but it will be go up the Passenger A pillar. If I didnt have the roof rack I would hesitate on putting the condenser on the roof, but with the rack it wont very noticeable and it will be well protected from low hanging shit.

Full details to come later as I am doing a story about the install.

Blower, evap and condenser were about $1500 so a lot less than a vintage air style unit that will move a lot more air and get more airflow to the radiator to keep the motor cool. It will work with a stock Ford compressor for those interested. I will have to get a diff compressor as the GM one on my motor is not compatible.
