Awesome pic!
I have a Vildosola built skid plate for mine. I think it adds a couple of inches of wheel travel...

Re: The Goonwagon
Nice to meet you. I'm sure you were a little stressed being broke down in Calexico. If you had of given me the time of day I would have loaded that rig up on the flat bed to Az. Had an empty trailer headed back to phoenix. Not going to try and convince someone to talk to me at a gas station.
Good luck!

Re: The Goonwagon
I was a bit distracted trying to look up some truck info on my phone with crappy movistar interwebs and we were trying to make it to Skyharbor for a flight and were cutting it close.
Had you said you were on GFB, it would have helped, as I had no idea you were other than a random dude as gas station.
Got it fixed up about 10 minutes later and made it home under its own power

Re: The Goonwagon
On my way to the IV250 last week the truck let out a huge cloud of blue smoke. Looked like I was playing Spyhunter. Found out why.

Re: The Goonwagon
Probably a 408. Still talking with the engine builder.

Re: The Goonwagon
Yep, non MAF. Gonna carb it. Has good World iron heads now. THinking 408 kit and a little more aggressive cam. Hoping for 350-400 torques with a nice flatish curve that runs on Pemex. Nothing crazy.

Re: The Goonwagon
Well the 408 turned out to be cost prohibitive so I am going with the budget stroker, a 393. It should still provide adequate H and torques for my needs. If I decide down the road that it really sucks I can swap to AL heads to get Mo Powa!

Re: The Goonwagon
They've built a bunch of Bronco engines for folks I know and seem to do good work.

Re: The Goonwagon
Any idea why they chose the crankshaft for 5.95 rod over the 6.2?

Re: The Goonwagon
I should have the engine around the end of the month.
No idea, I told him what I wanted from the motor and he picked the parts.
