Duffee started putting the motor together today. Hope to be testing it in the truck by the middle of next week, and I cant wait to get it in the dirt at the 1k.

395 Stroker
8.8 comp for Pemex 87
Power should be in the neighborhood of 370.

I thought Pemex was just as good as north of the border gasoline? Couldn't you have gone a little higher on the compression?

The Pemex in northern Baja comes from US refinerys. Not sure about BCS. Mainland surely not.

I certainly could have gone higher but I wanted to keep it low for reliability and simplicity. I dont need crazy power as its not a racer. It should have plenty of power to do what I want.

I also subscribe to the theory that Baja locals dont buy premium so it sits in the tanks for a long time and is susceptible to contamination.

Ya for sure. Im a hair over 300 tq, just under 300hp so im sure it will be lightyears ahead of what you are used too. A nice flat curve should put a big smile on your face.

Ryan, I spent a better part of an hour last night looking for your hp/tq numbers.
You have your dyno charts? Also your still running stock injectors right?

8.8 compression is plenty for what he needs. I always make more power on Pemex for some reason anyway, maybe less additives?

Put about 300 miles on the motor so far. Huge improvment!

Put 2000 miles on the new motor. I was not thrilled on the street but in the dirt, Holy Crap! What an improvment. Ive had this truck over a year and not its finally what I thought it would be. Aside frma minor brake line issue it ran like a raped ape all week at the 1000. Cant wait to go flog it again.
