Another Bronco Build
Howdy all,
This site rocks, full of great information, I have been researching GFB for a few years to see whats possible and get a clear direction of my GFB. Thank all of you who have taken the time to post your builds and other info. I never would have attempted this on my own with out this info.
Starting with a 1996 Eddie Bauer 133,000 miles one owner is pristine condition.
Had fun with it in stock form.
Drove it this way for a while. A move away from the beach to the mountains prompted the initiation of the build I have been thinking about for a few years now.

Re: Another Bronco Build
Yeah super clean, thx.
Almost purchased an autofab built up black bronco b4 this one, but the mechanic who did the inspection warned me against it due to very low fluid levels in the transmission and engine.
Hind site I should have bought it and replaced the engine and tranny and I would still be ahead!
Always wanted to build my own Bronco anyways....

Re: Another Bronco Build
My original plan was a go wild go fast bronco.
Then I found sleepers. Really like em.
Now plan was and had been a sleeper for the past year, then...

If u had not guessed it already I am not a mechanic.
So when I ran into a two day delay in the TTB hub disassembly
Sleeper dreams faded.

Re: Another Bronco Build
Sleeper dreams have faded, shame to as this 96 is so clean.
So what's a guy to do but hit the pick and pull.
Looky what I found under a 85 e350
A 31 spline 3.00 rear end.
63" flange to flange (May be measured wrong)
it's 3" wider than the 8.8 that was on there.

Re: Another Bronco Build
Any one have any tips, products, tools for clean up of frame and underside?
What about using a bed liner type product on the underside of bed to reduce noise and vibration, has anyone tried this?
What do you recommend for priming and painting the frame?

Re: Another Bronco Build
TTB coilover angle and location on beam help?
I see some c/o straight up with slight lean in.
some c/o leaned way back and in.
and some c/o back a little and in.
I have read through the go fast tech and looked at countless build threads and pics and cannot seem to get a clear idea of what works best, what to look out for, what pros and cons of different lean angles get you. any help would be great thx.

Re: Another Bronco Build
You want the shock to move as little as possible. In other words keeping the top and bottom mount in the sane plane and much as possible through the travel. Hard to get perfect with space constraints but shoot for as little as possible. Don't go by how peoples look cycle, check, cycle, check until your happy.
