Well looks like I have to move my limit straps back on the radius arm about 6"s. Do to the fact that i moved the bump back 3"s from the beam to the bolt. So unless I want to reroute the brake lines to the radius arm its gotta move. And thats something I really dont want to do at this point.

So I'm making a little headway here in my 100°+ garage. But am tapped out of funds for a bit. Do to my daily driver/ tow rig breaking down last week. Had to pull my bronco fund to get her fixed. "Damn dodge" but when she runs, she can pull a house.
So as of right now she needs.
-weld limit strap clevis mounts
-weld in lower limit strap mounts
-cut old lower limit strap mounts off
-make steering extensions
-order brake lines
-get 4.88 gears and carrier
-hunt down a 80 to 82 front diff
And the front should be done besides some little shit.

So this thing had a procomp lift before with a drop pitman arm. Should I stay with the drop or get a stock one?
Also where are you guys getting your brake lines? Bronco grave yard has some that are 26"s that I might order.

Are the axels installed? 18" may bind the center joint, don't forget to check it before you call it perminent. The center joint will need to be clearanced as well. Just a heads up if you haven't done that part.

Yea I already clearanced everything. Probably gonna raise the straps up and limit it to 16 or 17 though. Just to keep eveything happy. Plus no point in having that much travel since the back is limited by the driveline.

Thanks, but its not welded up yet. I had already built the can mounts when we had the last discussion on the strike plate. So the cans were set up to weld the plate to the bolt head. If I do like you were saying, with the bolt mounted upside down and double nuted I'll lose about 1" of bump travel. So I'm kinda stalled on welding em up. Ive got plenty of shock to gain that inch with droop. With the plate on the bolt head ive got about 3/4" before the shock bottoms out.

This damn thing is making me go grey faster then my kids hahahaha. But its been one hell of a learning experience and my fab skills have improved since I built my 4runner.

They grays aren't a bad thing cause with the experience comes wisdom. Right side up or upside down is all the same to me, it will work both ways. If your wanting to bolt head on the top side I can make you a washer/cup that will countersink the bolt head. Or like what I was thinking before using the threaded cap as the nut if ran upside down. I'd just need the bolt size for through bore or size/dia/pitch to make the nut pad style. On the nut pad style I can mill 2 flats to get a wrench on it.

I think my dodge is jealous of the bronco. And she knows when im going to order parts. 3 weeks ago I was getting ready to order a bunch of stuff, and she desided to fill her transmission full of coolant. So $1300 later she got fixed. Ordered my parts. Now I need to order some more stuff, she decides to dump 2nd gear. Back to shop she goes, for a possible complete transmission overhaul.

Well shes on her own weight finally. Just a little bit of wiring relocating, air filter mount and its time to turn her around to start the rear.

Finally out of the garage. Still need to paint the hood, Build risers for the front hood pins, build a front bumper, install the 4.88's. But at least I can turn her around and start on the rear. Definitely need a wider rear track width.

And its alot cheaper to paint these to see what would look good. Infact im going to buy another and paint it like the old stroppe broncos. Because im thinking that would look good on my real bronco.
