1990 Go Fast Gorilla
Well here is my build thread. I have big plans for it, but they will take a while. Here is what I've done so far.
This is how it was when I bought it.

Re: 1990 Go Fast Gorilla
The tires on it were badly cupped so they were the first thing to go. I went with some Maxxis Big Horn 33x12.50x15 on ProComp 15x8 wheels.

I've always liked the eb paint schemes. What's on the agenda for hop ups long term?

Re: 1990 Go Fast Gorilla
Of course the stance wasn't good. I talked to my guy at BDS suspension and got some 2" front coils. The Bronco had the OEM dual front shocks and rear air shocks with no airline hooked to them. I went with the BDS hydro shocks, ditched the short shock behind the front axle and kept the longer one in front of the axle. I also ditched the front sway bar.

Re: 1990 Go Fast Gorilla
After the suspension was done (for now), I had to concentrate on mechanical stuff. Ball joints, starter, battery, solenoid, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, coil, fuel filter, and new headlights.

Re: 1990 Go Fast Gorilla
Hoping to be able to do some Solo cut beams and radius arms, going to build a front bumper this winter, have a Magnaflow y pipe assembly that eliminates the cats that I need to install. would like to also re-gear it. the list goes on and on. Of course any 4x4 is a never ending project!Rmc wrote:I've always liked the eb paint schemes. What's on the agenda for hop ups long term?

Re: 1990 Go Fast Gorilla
After that stuff was all done, I ripped off the factory air dam and installed a 20" Engo LED light bar. I have a second one that will go on when I do the front bumper.

The latest thing I've added is my custom Gorilla decals on each rear window.

Re: 1990 Go Fast Gorilla
I agree! The wheels that were on it had to go! It was nice that I got more for them on CL than I paid for the new black ones.Rmc wrote:The black wheels make it look way better IMO

Re: 1990 Go Fast Gorilla
There's a set or 2 of c&t solo beams on here for sale, there's also a guy up by you who does beams and he does good work.
Re: 1990 Go Fast Gorilla

Re: 1990 Go Fast Gorilla
Well it's that time of year again here in Oregon that means rain for the next 7 months. Gotta install a set of quality wipers.

Re: 1990 Go Fast Gorilla
So the project for the day was a new Magnaflow stainless Y-pipe and NTK o2 sensor and eliminating the cats. It definitely woke the old turd up a bit.

I like that y pipe. What size are the tubes and cost if you don't mind me asking. Thanks.

Re: 1990 Go Fast Gorilla
The pass side tube is 2.25" for about the first 6" then goes to 2.5". The drivers side is 2.5" right off the manifold and is 2.5 inches after the y. We sell them at work for about $260 bucks. it also comes with a high flow cat converter. We don't get tested here in Oregon so I left it out! The magnaflow number is 93312. it works for 88-90 bronco with a 351, but fits 87-95 f-150. don't know why it won't fit the 91-95 bronco but they say it won't.damon1272 wrote:I like that y pipe.
