I might work on a new rear cargo area storage system this weekend...thats about it. Got the new beams on and did some general maintenance. I still need the mirror(s) from you.

I would like to finish tying the cage to the shock hoops at some point then do the motor and trans and possibly a dash if it rattles apart...no time frame and no hurry as I dont have much time to use it right now so it just sits in storage and I dont want to drop 5-10k into it.

Ordered up everything to move the battery to the rear, which should be done this weekend. Might have some 3" bypasses for the rear prior to the 1000 prerun.

No other updates.

Wanna see pics of this, if you get the chance, Kris. I'm hoping to do mine this week too. I'm trying not to make mine too permanent since i haven't done anything with my rear suspension, cargo area (etc.) yet. Hoping to have all my last few parts for rear susp. rounded up this weekend though

2 ga cable from mcmaster carr
Fiberglass head shielding from mcmaster
Battery tray from wherever Philo told me to buy it from
200 amp switch for ground side
Its going in the passenger rear corner where the floor is flat

Roughly $225 in parts. Not sure what labor is going to cost. If I skimped on the heat shield I could have saved $60.

My camera broke while out testing today in Barstow so there will be no install pics.

200 amp switch sounds like an anti theft device? Curious why better installed on the ground side? Doing rear battery while bronco is down, thanks.

The ground side will see less contact wear and is less prone to arcing.

I think he stores this truck a lot so that may have a little bit to do with it.

Ive got two anti theft devices already wired in 1 simple, 1 complex, if they want it they will have to tow it.

The switch is exactly what Philo said.

Got some 3" bypass shocks on the rear I got close tuning on the dyny and will fine tune next week in barstow and the battery mounted in the rear.

Also spent some time dyno'ing shocks and most needle and seat bypass shocks stop making a difference after 1.25-1.5 turns from seated. I always said 3 turns based on experience...dyno proves half that.

Interesting. I've been told that all the bypass adjusters increase flow exponentially and not incrementally as you turn them out.

Dyno? where you workin now? Have your own dyno?

I'd be interested to see what the flow curve is like for a Blackhawk type adjuster.

Much more linear between clicks because the window is crontrolling the flow. A needle/seat controls the flow until the holes in the body cant flow any more. Bigger holes would help but then wearbands would get tore up.

3" bypasses front and rear installed. Shook it down in Bartstow today. Needs a little more tuning and will ride like it used to.

Notice how much the beam pivot moves...time to reinforce.
