I have zero axle wrap so I doubt it. Its a combo of weight, lateral loads and friction that are breaking these things im pretty sure of.

Workin on it Barge...double wrapped with 3rd leaf tangent on centerline of both eyelets and progress down from there.

On second thought, keep the Ranger mains, way easier to get replacements for.

yeah no shit. there will be 3 of whatever leaf pack I come up with made...so a spare shouldnt have to be had from a yonke yard. A leaf spring is a simple device and shouldnt break when being used as designed.

National and I would bet Deaver do NOT heat treat springs post forming on there custom in house built stuff nor do they peen them. They buy heat treated strip and cold forge/work them into shape. The manufacturer I work with at work does not agree with that method and says heat treating post formed would be a better pack.

With all due respect here, Where I worked before, we heat treated BEFORE AND AFTER forming, then tempered to restore the tension. I worked at a spring makers rebuilding truck and car leaf springs.

I figured...I found the pic I was looking for though, when you had it on the fork lift cleaning it... do you have any problems with the stock tire swing and that 35? has the quarter panel dented at all? Gone back through these pictures a few times... huge motivation for me, beautiful truck!

No denting. Its supported underneath. The "hub" that holds the tire has been flipped 180 to lower the tire 4 or so inches. I did this after backing over a honda civic I couldnt see and that worked out nicely when I built the bumper becuase the support tube didnt have to be so high that the tailgate wouldnt go all the way down.

When I put a 33" general red label while chasing a jeepspeed which is a heavy POS tire on the rack it broke the cross pin that the hinge latches on because it was HEAVY and unsupported. I ran about 20 miles of whoops though. Not a fan of General red labels. Anybody can make something bullet proof if they just keep adding material/weight.
