Even with the awesome heat we had this weekend I wanted to get the truck done. It’s back on the ground and all good! I made the first set of tie rods out of .120 wall with weld in bungs but the final ones are tapped .313 4130. Pretty stoked on how everything came out.

Pismo was a blast, but I broke my bedcage on the last day. Decided to cut it all off and start fresh. Was able to push the shocks out on the axle a little further and do some other stuff like downsize the bump stop pad and give me a whopping 1/2” more of up travel. And made some new bushings for the leafs. Bassicslly everything on the rear suspension is new

The first one was solos, but I know they have since changed their design to be stronger. And yeah I made all the new stuff.

Yes I did make them out of delrin, don’t have much driving time on them and maybe it’s my imagination but I feel like it tightened everything up. Felt like less body roll I liked it

They should tighten everything up nicely. The poly allows a bit of flex or roll side to side on the leafs where the delrin does not. I have delrin ones I made years ago in my crew, but I never finished the thing so as to drive it & see how they felt :(

I was hoping it would! Especially for jump champs I can use less body roll.

Okay so currently I have a 351 that’s stock other than the edelbrock upper and lower intake, exhaust, and I had a custom tune put on the truck. It’s only putting down 170 to the wheels right now.
I was going to do a LS swap but now I’m thinking I’m going to link it next summer instead. Anyways to my question haha I want to squeeze out a little more hp
What aluminum heads and cam should I run, larger injectors and throttle body? After I do heads and cam is my stock trans going to hang in there? What kind of gains could I expect with heads cam injectors and a larger throttle body? I don’t want to throw money at it for nothing

I think Kritters 408 build wouls be a great one to copy. Especially, if you're just doing a top end upgrade.

Problem with that is a 408 isn’t just a top end. Very first question is simply does it need to be smogable?? I personally would never use an AFR 165 head when a 195 is so much better for a 351 for the same money. If no smog the intake manifold choices are pretty wide that flow better than the stock upper.

I have had good luck with AEM and Aeromotive pumps, currently have the AEMs on the bronco. Phoenix regulator has done me well too.

I was recommended this pump
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/bch-61944

And told I do not need a regulator than the stock one will be fine

So I bought this running 5.8 lightning motor out of a 95 f150, i dont know why I bought it yet but it was cheap so I just did it haha. I already have the Edelbrock intake on my motor, I really was after the gt40 heads but now I like the lightning intake it’s pretty cool.
Any idea what would perform better the lightning intake or the Edelbrock?
This motor was speed density I have maf on my bronco now. If I decide to just drop this motor in my truck can my harness just plug and play?

My options are either cam the lightning motor and drop it in

Take the heads and put them and a cam in my motor.
