Definitely cheaper in the long run to buy a vehicle someone else has all ready built you will save thousands, and be enjoying your investment immediately instead of lanquishing in someones shop.

Well I talked to Bill at Mirage Motorsports getting a great deal on shocks four bypass and two coil overs talked to Dave at Threat they have so nice stuff at a reasonable price. Some are saying that the Q80 springs will stink bug the back of the Bronco. Dave has a spring he claims sits better. Shocks are six to eight weeks out WOW!!!!

Yeah I am curious to here how you diveed up th $9,000. I'm truely not trying to be a jerk and crush your dream but it is really easy to set a budget and hit far from the mark. I am about $10,000 over my original budget and its not big ticket items its all the nickle and diming that gets you.

Just wait until you have to buy things like bolts, and limit straps. Most people ignore that and then when it comes time to build, a trip to Kartek can get to 500 really fast in tabs, bolts, and limit straps.

Or you can be like me and not worry about limit straps...

... Of course, I'm sure eventually I'll pull my shocks apart and spend more money to fix it.

I would say so. Much easier to upgrade, modify and personalize a finished platform than to start from scratch. It sounds like more fun to build your own but it cost alot more time and money, cut and dry.
There are several threads on here where broncos exchange hands and the next owner makes it there own. There are also a lot of unfinished build threads and classiefied adds for unfinished project that people just want gone out of sheer frusteration.
