How thick does the coating go on? Is it lighter than bed liner?

According to the website, it's similiar to bed liner.

I wonder what the necessary steps one would have to take to paint it traditionally after?

Received all my parts and paint. Waiting to hear back from Keenan's fab guy on when he wants me to drop off the rig. Should be soon-ish, though. I got my paint from Monstaliner as well as the texture samples. Should be really cool. I did a little mock up of the bronco what I'm hoping she'll look like after.

Goal is to have everything completely done and ready to go for a big trip down the Peninsula for the 1000.

Doesn't have to work. Just so long as it pulls my jetski.

Same shop who did all of Keenan's work (@wideopencustomz). They're out in Victorville. Very happy with how it's turning out.

I like the satelite dish on the back of the roof rack.... haha
Roof rack looks good, how heavy? Do you know what size material they used?

Looks like 1" dia. from my uncalibrated eye. My guess is .095 wall (maybe .080) for a mix of strength without being too heavy.
