Problem 1.... solved. I swapped the output from my electric shift to.the manual.

It was actually a blessing in disguise. When I pulled apart the manual tcase the oil pump was installed wrong....mind bogglingly wrong. So if destroyed itself and the pump impelled and springs were loose in the case. I cleaned the he'll out of it and had all of the parts acounted for so I just through the one from the electric case in there.

Also they mutilated the drain plug so I had to drill that one out and mash chisel into it to get it out.

All said and done the 1/8" difference on the spines is what started this whole debacle

Pedals ammnd master installed. I'm going to have to massage the factory pedal to clear the cage. Im not sure I'll be able to fully depressed the clutch with my seat where uts at. I think since I'm already going to be cutting and grinding on the pedal to cleat the cage I may bring the pedal itself closer to me rather than redo the seat mount. Pretty stoked overall the have 3 pedals in it finally.

Does just the pedal pad hit the cage, or the pedal itself? A slight bend in the arm above the pedal may bring it close enough to clear the tube. BUT, you'll for sure want to test "shift" it a few times to make sure your foot is good on the tube. Last thing you'd want is to be trying to operate the clutch and have your foot hit that tube and disrupt the clutch movement.

Anyway, the pedal barely hits with the pad off.. It would be more of an annoyance than an actual problem.

With the seat were it is it a little stretch to get the clutch all the way to the floor. I'm going to build new pedal pads for the clutch and brake. Offset the a little to the pass side and I'm going to bring the clutch closer to the seat about 1/2". Put grip tape on the and call.ir done. I think the clutch and brake pedals being in a different plane will make it easier to not Mas on both in a scrambble too

The trans is in. I need to make the new cross member. I'm a little annoyed where the old mounting points lined up on the new trans. Not ideal but I built them pretty beef the first time so I don't think I'll change them.

Also my brother had an idea for a ground for the welder that wouldn't move when yiu are moving shit around. I made it in about 5 minutes and works out pretty sweet!

Short throw and a little massaging of the shifter and its all fit in there. Need to figure out a fix for the boot as the short through raised it.

I got real confused when I went to do the trans mount. The output isn't centered, the E4OD offsets the trans mount so it is centered. The ZF doesn't. I had the trans in and the old mount was clearly off so I was confused. Luckily there is a stock bronco around the corner fir me to confirm placement of everything.

My old x-member will work for this season. I've wanted to redo it since I built it years ago but limited time and good desert weather right around the corn gives procrastination the win again. Big clunker of a fix but it should work for now.

Holy moly wat a wild goose chase I had.

After getting everything installed w/ the 5 speed I had a horrible grinding sound.

Long story short. After having the trans in and out of the truck 4 times, 2 new pilot bearing, ordering and returning a few hundred $$ in parts; I learned......

F-series/broncos use a different starter for manual and automatic transmission. (Head palm)

You need one of these. They are fitted to manual Ford sedans here so only one starter is needed.

Save time, money and frustration while I do the opposite linking my truck haha. Probably won't work any better anyway. Just want to scratch that itch.
