Ok, So this might be crazy talk, but I am going to ask anyways. Since using the Dana 50 outer housing and other housing component's, are Dana 60 components adaptable to this setup. If so, could 40 Spline axles be retrofitted in place? I don't know if anyone makes a 40 spline limited slip? But then use 1410 u joints at the knockle with custom 40 spline locking hubs. Like I said, Crazy talk. It was just one of those ideas that jumps into my head at 3am. I was just thinking of a bulletproof long travel ttb front end.

Re: Slappy Style Go Fast with Dana 44/50 hybrid beams....
ALL good
yes Dana 60 stuff works.... Dana 50 already over kill tho....lol
A version of this thought was in the plan but after research...........priced everything out..... RCV axles seems to be a better option less custom Fab and more off the self parts used
our 44 stuff does well....... the 50 idea was why not..... bigger everything but it is also heavier so un sprung weight could come into play.. but our trucks are heavy anyways
time will tell

I was just thinking of Chris Wilson's issue with the front end breaking. Part of the extra wear on his is the 37" tires weight and how hard he pushes it. I have run 35" tires most of the past 23 years on my Bronco with the last 13 pushing it pretty hard since it is a trailer queen now. I am rebuilding my whole front end and may make the jump to 37" tires, thus the reason I am in overkill mode of thinking.

Re: Slappy Style Go Fast with Dana 44/50 hybrid beams....
it look like this is the plan......to start is
1996 7.5l 460 OBD2 with vortech supercharger,and doug thorley headers
C6
NP205 tcase
new drive lines
plumb
wire
dash
drive it
I am trying to get long drive shaft and we will see it is looking like I could be in the 25-26 inches with rear frame kick and c6 np205........ and not doing stretch as all the sheet metal work is already done.
then
tire carrier on back out side for 2 spares
more plan to come
