Seabass's cooler hauler
Re: Seabass's cooler hauler
Geared the rear end to 4.88s with a Detroit today=) must... control... right ....foot..... she boogies again! Shift points are all wierd though. I think the tranny learned to hold gears longer when I was under geared. I'll try clearing the memory before driving home.

You probably need to correct the speedo ... There is a process to enter the right conversion code. I put the steps in the tech section

Re: Seabass's cooler hauler
Yep reprogram the pcm its teally easy.
Re: Seabass's cooler hauler
Output speed is off the ring gear so shift points where being weird based off of tps. Cleared the memory and shes shifting allot better chirpped 2nd on the way to work today. I giggled
I'll program the psom soon to I'm sure it'll help as well. Now I gotta get the junk to gear the front.

Re: Seabass's cooler hauler
Steering wheel bound up solid for a moment yesterday and made the commute interesting to say the least . Feels like the bearings in the column have failed. Any thing else that I should address while I have the column apart?

Gonna push hard in the next few months to get this thing off the trailer and onto the trail. Need some help with info and finding parts. I'll be working out of state for the next month and can't really spend much time searching forums so I'll ask here=)
I'm looking to buy a 80-82 front diff housing if anyone has one to sell.
Need to figure out what size kings to purchase for use with my southwest coilover mount. They're designed for bilstiens but kings measure out different. Coil overs and by passes
Hoping to find a set of take off 64"s
Looking for a set of knuckles because mine are helicoiled
Looking for a set of front brake hard lines that sit on the caliper side

Re: Seabass's cooler hauler
I had the same issue with the steering. I had an issue with the pins for the tilt steering. Mine is an 86 so I don't know how much they changed over the years.
