this is my first Bronco build. i have built other off road and on road trucks and cars and this is also my first Ford. So i am looking for any in put and advise. if you see something that needs too be changed speak up . thinks in advance.

this is the day it came home . starts with 7 inch lift with Devar front and rear springs and spacers.

Single swing steering.

i have no idea what else was or is done. was told it has 456 front and rear with rear locked. but got stooped on the locker.

Is it missing shocks in the front? That coil bucket could be a real good start if you reinforce them. A shock mount could be simple. Definately remove the limit straps that could be dangerous though. Good start!

Looks as though the radius arms are an old dick cepick kit and the steering is a super runner or copy of one.

How is the supper runner i have red mixed posts on it. The previous owne told me he thaught the steering box was going out because it felt lile it would lock in surton spots. Is that the nature of the beast? Any thing i can do too improve the system. I do have fab skills

I would not run the super runner steering. It adds complexity and does not do anything to help bumpsteer.

You know the stock steering works really good. If you can get it on the cheap you can replace the parts easily.

Wow Josh, this is a very nice truck. Is this a 302 or a 351? How is it running and is it a daily driver or just an extra playtoy? Cannot wait to see how it turns out, I am also inexperienced in the Bronco Fab world so your build will be close watched!

So is mine, on 35's gas is no joke haha. Luckily i moved so close to work that i walk now. Gas money is now play money.

Bronco looks good, it also looks to me as though it is missing shocks haha, but its a great start.

That roof rack won't help gas mileage at all. Let me know if you decide to parts with it ;)

As for the coil buckets - stock ones can be modified pretty easily for a taller shock and can be cool. I've got a set of stock ones here if you want to start messing with some off the truck. A few pics of people's setups with these are around here somewhere.

Unless you're buying new Ford drag link, don't bother with the ambulance steering parts. The aftermarket drag links aren't made of the good stuff like the OE parts. The joints are great, but the steel is soft.

Or, buy an aftermarket drag link and sleeve it. See the steering thread for more info.

Steering thread is the bees knees for sure! From what I read the stock setup is great for the mild off roader. These guys are talking about hitting 6 foot holes and still limping home....SIX FOOT HOLES!!!

You said you got stooped on the locker. Is it true-trac at least?

I'm interested for sure. Can you get me the dimensions of it? My dad lives in Temecula so I'm down that way about once a month. Sometimes I even am doing parts runs for HTO & other addicts on this site...
