Just went through the whole thread and I can't wait to check out the Silver Bullet in Baja. Did you ever get the stone guards on to give it that extra classic coolness?

Thanks Agui and Dan. Bronco is coming along nicely, especially with the BajaHID Excursion run coming in a few weeks.

Engine bay clean up and engine finally in. Waiting on the inner skins and core support back from the powder coaters.

Dan, glad I had a chance to stop by and looking at your truck at Race Truck Fabrications. Awesome build man. Can't wait for my cage work to get done. I hope it turns out at nice as yours.

Nada! Smog pump needs replacing Andy. Everything is bolted and plumb'd to the engine. Need to buy a new smog pump, pick up my inner fender skins from the powder coater, pick up my Autofab 80-86 style fenders from the fiberglass guy who repaired the cracks and filled in the old mounting holes. The fenders will get some spray can action in gray and they'll get mounted this weekend.

Damn I'm cutting it close but so far looks like she'll make it barring something doesn't go wrong with the motor. If so, Droopy will be a good back up now that she is sporting Solo Motorsports cut and turn beams, radius arms and Bilstein 5100s and I took her to the Baja 500 without a worry. But honestly, I'm hoping the Silver Bullet makes it down to Baja for this run.

ha ha ha she isn't built Andy, just a couple of little upgrades. It all started when I had the 3" Super Lift springs that were jacking up my camber so long story short I ended up with cut and turn (uniballs) and arms (heims). I have in the garage now my Solo rear shock tower and shorty Solo shackles. Buying a custom set of Deavers to keep the ride height low in the next month or so and slap that stuff on. Poor Droopy for being a daily driver she has a rough life with the bashing she gets.

Noooo.. don't rattle can it! Buy some duplicolor premixed ready to shoot paint and a harbor freight spray gun and do them up in Silver and Blue. Either that or take it to a Maaco and have them paint the fenders only.. I bet it wouldn't cost all that much and it would look super cool.

Almost forgot to mention to remember to install your stone guards for your lights, it would seriously complete the nostalgic look.

Unfortunately Agui, I haven't picked up my fiberglass fenders from Hemet so I maybe running my 3" wider Autofab fenders but the hurdle I have is that the powder coated had to redo my inner fenders. I maybe not have them in time so I may hit the junkyard and run oem style fenders.

Happy to see that my rear bumper came in today:

No Nick, it's a LMC Truck bumper, what they call their Premium bumper which is built to oem specs. Came on Broncos from 1980-1986. They offered that one and the step bumper but I always liked this one and SB was missing a rear bumper.
