I'm just trying to pretty it up a bit talking about something good looking. The front end on the silver bullet is so ugly I feel I need a shower!

That need for the shower isn't because of silver bullet, its from walking around Paris with holey flip flops. HahahahahaChaseTruck754 wrote:I'm just trying to pretty it up a bit talking about something good looking. The front end on the silver bullet is so ugly I feel I need a shower!

ha ha ha classic. Steve you need a tetanus shot walking around with those holy flip flops in Baja. I hope you trashed those. I almost gave you a few bucks to buy a new pair.tcm glx wrote:That need for the shower isn't because of silver bullet, its from walking around Paris with holey flip flops. You sound like Karen. She was pushing me for new ones so I got them. I miss the holy ones though that are still under my seat in the truck just in case...
It takes a few years of wearing to get them "just right" like that.

Did you know the 90% of all Alfas ever sold are still out on the road today!Becks_Bronco wrote:Alfa Romeo's are probably the best car ever made. For three minutes after they roll out of the lot. Then they break. But its the character that counts right?
The other 10% actually made it home! Bada, Ching! I'll be here all week.

Steve, I love those hubcaps. Man I need to find me a set. Those would look awesome on my ride.SteveG wrote:Don't sweat it, Chris, I ruined mine the same way. Of course, when I'm feeling like a purist I can always put the stock hub caps back on.philofab wrote:I can't believe you ruined that 80-86 with newer alcoa wheels. Those are not period correct like the alloy wheels it came with.

I like your Bronco Chris. It's gonna look sweet with those slotted wheels.

I actually bought an 84 before i bought my 96. The tiny used car lot i got it from was super shady so i took it back, but i'll akways have a soft spot for them. I love yours, and i think its rad that youre going with some old school wheels to keep the look.

Re: APEMFB's Air Force One aka The Silver Bullet
Looking forward to seeing more of this thing. Your parts list sounds like just about what I would put together if I were building one of these. I also have a soft spot for the early style front end. My Dad had an 86 F250, it was an extra cab, so it had the brick front end and the jail bar widows. I loved that truck.

While waiting for my Kings to get in, they'll be delivered to McKenzies on Wednesday, I decided to pick up a new set of 5 BFG All Terrain KOs 35 x 12.50 x 15 mounted on a freshly polished set of Alcoa wheels.

I finally dropped off my shocks at Mark's shop last night. Now the suspension will be taken care of and then it's off to working on the larger fuel tank, front skid plate and light bar and then the interior. Wow, Mark is going to be a busy guy.

This is so cool! Chris it's super exciting to finally see you making a solid effort toward building something. I would love to be there for the first shake down. You've got to have some anxious anticipation. I sure would!

Hahaha - he's had more "1/2 way builds" than I have - which is saying a lot. Cool to see him focussing on 1 though - even if the front end (notice I didn't bash the whole thing Chris?!?!) if fugly

Re: APEMFB's Air Force One aka The Silver Bullet
Thanks guy and even you Steve, lol, for not busting on that beautiful front end of my 86.
Yeah I'm really jazzed about this build. And all true, I have others in the works. Daily Driver will be getting C&Ts and more, the Four Door will get up and running as a basic runner, no go fast stuff for now, the Stretch Bronco project will leave the garage for the start of work on it I'm hoping within the next few months. What can I say, I have Bronco ADD.
But this Bronco really started out as I just wanted something to cruise around with, a mild runner, coils, 5100s, cut and turns, RAs and deavers out back. Then of course, Tony and I started talking and before you know it this thing snow balled out of control. I think in the end I'll be happy. My only issue now is do I cage it or not. I'm torn. I may do it I may not. I still have another few weeks to think about it. Stay tuned.
