MIkey,
I can wait to check out a bronco with a manual transmission.. It will be interesting hucking it with so much control over the transmission.
Im definately looking forward to a ride in the finished product.

Went to the pull yard today and left with quite a bit of shit. Thanks again for all your help Elliott.
And finally bronco is back up and running. Five speed swap is pretty legit, spinning 2200 rpm's at 70ish!

IDK yet actually. I need more seat time. I only drove it for 20 minutes since is was so late. I can tell you though it sure it nice to be able to cruise on the highway at a decent rpm. The trans did look like it had the stock oil in it from who knows how long and even after changing the fluid it doesn't shift that well.
As for the motor philo, I think something is up with mine. It just doesn't feel as strong as it used to be. No maybe I am used to my WRX, who knows. Gonna go drive it a bit now and report back.

How does the shift feel? They shift horrible if there is any issue with the master cylinder or slave. What fluid are you running?

Shift feels notchy, clutch needs more bleeding I am sure. Running ATF to clean it out, then switching to Redline MTL.
More updates from the weekend.
It's been raining off and on and somehow the moisture has rusted my fiberglass hood????
I missed the old rusty black hood so I recreated it.
Tagging street signs yo!
Also painted the front fenders.
Hard to tell in the pics but they are off white. I hope they match up, they looked good last night but they were still wet.

I just went through like the whole thread and everything's pretty badass! Keep up the good work. And btw good job on not getting down on it with all the little stuff that keeps popping up. That's always my downfall, and the reason I haven't started my build yet!
And I'm mad jealous of your excursions!

Hey Mike, I wanted to see how you like the Yukon Grizzly locker? I wonder how it sizes up against the Detroit Locker? Maybe someone that has run both will chime in here? From what I have heard, Yukon is making good stuff, but is it worth the price?only1mikey wrote:Rear end is back together.
Went from a stock 9" rear end, with an open diff and 4.56's to some new (to me ) Currie 35 spline axles, and a new (this time it really is new) Strange Nodular case, Yukon Grizzly locker, Daytona pinion support, new 4.56's, basically a bad ass new diff!!!

Mike isnt on here a whole lot but I am running that same setup in my Bronco and it works great. You do get the occasionialy click here and there.... but traction wise it works fantastic.
