Brandon's 93 - Build in future - Still Planning

First off I want to say awesome site!!I've been a lurker for awhile now and this site as well as FullSizeBronco has inspired me to bring my Bronco back to life. The poor thing as been sitting in the back 40 since 06 due to gas usage as it was a DD however it can now just be a toy for me and my son (14). Well the old bronco is a 93 OJ Edition, 5.8 auto.

Once I get it running properly again I will be going onto suspension (Currently the truck is 100% stock). The Bronco will be used in general wheeling as well as seeing some time in go fast mode when I’m out playing at desert races or just out in the great big desert. I don’t need to worry about starting at the front or rear because all the parts will get put on at once. Anyhow heres what my thoughts are for my build and any opinions or Ideas would be great. I'm trying to avoid missing things and trying to stay bolt on for the most part.

First will be the suspension and Tires (Going with 35's - Not sure on the brand yet).

Rear suspension:

Deaver J40 Leaf Packs ($700??)

Not sure of best place / Cheapest place to buy these
These are 5.5 in lift correct?

Camburg Extended Shackles ($160??)

I'm open to other vendors to save$

5100 shocks ($$$??)

Shocks will need to stay under the bed
What size do I need to get to mount in stock locations?
Part Numbers? Good place to buy?


Extended Brake Lines ($$$??)

Part Numbers? What Size? Do I really need on the rear?

Limit Straps ($$$??)

What size?

Anything else I’m missing for the rear suspension??
Will this stuff work without having to cut and reweld the saddles on the axel?


Front suspension:

Cut and Turn TTB ($$$??)

Cut and turn for 5.5 in lift
is a shock mount on these?

Extended Radius arms ($$$??)

Do Radius arm pivots come with these or is that a extra I need to buy?
is a shock mount on these?
I dont need to go Heims on these. bushings should be fine.

After the suspension and Tires will be the gearing

Looks like it will be 4.88's for the gearing.


Eventually I will also do front and rear Fiberglass fenders and custom front and rear bumpers with a Hitch Mounted Winch. And I’m thinking a full cage from JBG (does anyone have pictures of their FULL cage for a 93 BKO?). Any way input would be appreciated.

This will probably end up as my build thread once I start getting some actual work done as well..

I've started my build on my mild runner and it has 4" Pro-Comp coils, 5100s in front, deavers in the back and bilstein 2.0 x 12s with remote resis. I'll post up pics next week and my build sheet, it may help you with your build.
