So I keep driving this and my AOD works good and all is well.

Not able to leave stuff alone I am trying the constant pressure valve body from Dan Gilsdorf (Silver Fox Performance Transmission)...

Set up with OD delete so my shifter will be OD lock out push button or fully auto D, 2, 1.

Here are some pictures. The transmission works really well now and the shift points are well suited to a more aggressive driving. No more delay when I shift to D or R and it shifts at 2300/2900 rpm depending on throttle pressure, the TV is now only for kickdown and under full throttle it will hold gear until 4500 rpm then a real robust but not harsh shift. Won't hit OD unless you let up on pedal.

Light throttle yields very smooth firm shifts and is user friendly. I also installed a sensor in my pan to monitor temps from here on out. We will see if this will live, at 117,000 miles it was really clean and very little amount of disc material in the pan.

So how is the AOD working with the new valve body, Bob? Still like it?

I really like the way it works. I'm about 3000 miles since I installed it and my 119k mile tranny shifts better than before and holds the gears nicely when rolling on the throttle. I drove to and from San Diego and pulled 13.4mpg round trip running 75mph with the AC on-33's with 3:55 gears.

Going over the grapevine I never saw over 160 on my temp guage with probe in the pan.

I've got an in line filter deeper aluminum pan and a bigB&M cooler.

The way it's working I'm probably gonna stay AOD and have Dan build me an assembly to drop in my case when it's toasted.

I am also stoked she is now catalog queen for Autofabs 87-91 glass hoods. It really suits the stockish look of my Bronco.

Those bags are SWEEETTTT!!! Super jealous of the interior set up. My wifes bronco has the blue interior as well, driver seat is trash though.
