Re: This is my 1981 Bronco build thread....
This saturday we started swapping in the 400 ......I have some problems cos I´m usin 302/351W engine perches........the right header hits into the frame ..... I´ll be using some engine mounts that are very easy to get in my country bolted to a 1/2" plate and this one bolted to the engine.......so I can solve the issue uf the engine perches....but I think the header will still hit the frame....

Re: This is my 1981 Bronco build thread....
well I worked on the engine mounts today.......the engine now sits about 1" rearward....the fuel pump hits the engine crossmember but I´ll cut it to make some space......but I still have problems with the right header.. :banghead: :banghead: hits in both edges of the frame......

Well today I got the 400 and ZF5 together....and took of the engine perches.......then I placed the engine and trans in the position I wanted.....and now I have enought room for everything.....so now I only have to modify the engine perches to fit the engine the actual position....
Left mount..

I always tried to make it work with parts that are easy to find in my country....like the clutch...(I used a set that is really easy to find)
This is what I´ve been doing....
I made a threaded hole to fit the "pivot ball" for the new fork...
By montecarlo at 2011-01-27
By montecarlo at 2011-01-27
I had to grind about 1/4" to get the Clutch Slave Cylinder aligned with the bellhousing bolt
I´weld a piece of cast so I´ll can bolt on the lower bolt.
